Privacy
Your photos stay on your device. MakeReal.Photos does not upload or save them.
What happens to your photos
When you press SNAP, your browser asks for permission to use the camera, and only then. The camera picture goes straight to this page and nowhere else. When you choose or drop a photo, your browser reads it locally. MAKE REAL, MAKE IT OLD, MAKE IT WEIRD, the photo booth and the files you download are all made inside this browser tab. Your photos, the camera picture, filenames, location or other details inside your files, and your edits are never sent to our servers or to anyone else. There is no upload endpoint.
The camera turns off after each snap, when you press CLOSE, and when you switch tabs. Photos on your roll live in memory only: we don't store them in your browser, and they're gone when you close the tab.
Downloaded files are re-drawn from scratch, so they usually don't carry over the original file's hidden details (like GPS location). We can't promise that for every browser, so check before sharing anything sensitive.
What the website still sees
Like any website, our host (Cloudflare) receives normal web requests when you load the page: things like your IP address, browser type and which pages were requested. That's how the page gets to you. It doesn't include anything about your photos.
No accounts, no tracking of your photos
There are no accounts, no ads and no analytics that can see your photos or edits. We don't use cookies for MakeReal.Photos.
Sharing
If you use the SHARE button, your device's own share sheet sends the photo you made to wherever you choose. That's between you and the app you pick.
